Osgood - Future Mayor of Plymouth?

It could happen.

I found this little snip on line today.

Chris Osgood has high aspirations for his post-Red Wings career. He's told the Free Press's Helene St. James that he hopes to run the mayor's position in Plymouth, Michigan, and he hopes to play catcher in the Tigers' bullpen...

But Osgood has no intentions upon usurping Nicklas Lidstrom's captaincy. He'd prefer to leave the "goalie captain's" role to Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo, as he tells the Windsor Star's Dave Waddell:

Maybe someone can help me. How long has Osgood lived in Plymouth?

Several years ago, when I still lived in the area, my parents were realtors and sold a few Detroit Red Wing players home in Plymouth. Perhaps some will remember Greg Smith playing defense for Detroit in the early 80's.

My Connection To Plymouth Michigan

I was born in Detroit and moved to Plymouth in 1966. My family lived near the Sheldon Road and North Territorial intersection.

I attended Bird Elementary, West Middle School, and Plymouth Salem High School. I was part of the Class of 1977 and for a few years after high school, I continued to work and live in Plymouth.

In the early 80's, my parents moved to Canton but moved back to Plymouth about 8 years later. They relocated a block away from City Hall living in one of the oldest houses in Plymouth.

Through various employment opportunities, I have lived away from the area since 1991. Since my family still live nearby, I am able to visit Plymouth on a fairly regular basis.

Plymouth Michigan Blog

Here is my new page about Plymouth Michigan. I spent most of my childhood living in Plymouth and though I have lived away for many years, I still have a strong connection to the area.
